Shalom!

A bit about me:

I'm in my final year of rabbinical school at the New York campus of Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, where I am also on the leadership team of the student-run HUC Soup Kitchen.

During my time at HUC-JIR, I've been proud to serve for two years as the student rabbi at the North Fork Reform Synagogue on Long Island, as a summer intern at the Stephen Wise Free Synagogue in Manhattan, as a chaplain intern at a hospital in Washington, DC, and as a 5th grade teacher at the Brooklyn Heights Synagogue. Before entering rabbinical school, I worked for an arts & education nonprofit, and earned a bachelor’s in English with a minor in Judaic studies from Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA.

I love sharing Jewish knowledge with learners of all ages – from midrash to Mishnah to mussar (or even just explaining the difference!). I also enjoy singing, reading, baking, and corny jokes.

For more details on why I chose to become a rabbi and important facts like what my favorite holiday is (hint: it's a springtime holiday that involves matzah), see my introductory interview at Stephen Wise Free Synagogue.
